Graubunden
The largest of Switzerland's cantons, covering about a sixth of teh country's landmass, the Graubunden is the only one where three languages - German, Italian, and Romansch - are spoken. It comprises remote farms and villages and numerous popular holiday resorts such as glitzy St Moritz, Davos, Flims & Klosters. It is also the most sparsely populated, with about 24 inhabitants pr square kilometre, compared to the Swiss average of 150. Almost exclusively Alpine in character, the canton is the only one in the country that completely straddles the Alps.
